1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference resource. It does not hold official files, obtain records on request, perform official checks, or submit documents for a visitor.

Its purpose is to route readers to Gray County offices and Texas systems, including the Sheriff, criminal court clerks, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. It may also connect visitors with independently operated search tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Each visitor agrees not to:

• Use the site in violation of federal, Texas, or local law
• Threaten, stalk, harass, or harm another person with information found here
• Use site content for an FCRA-regulated decision

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this resource or a linked tool may not be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, injure, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 62 does not authorize misuse of Texas Public Sex Offender Registry information. Registry records support public awareness, not confrontation or vigilantism.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Gray County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create credit reports, background checks, or other consumer reports. Site or partner information must not be used to:

• Make a hiring or termination decision
• Evaluate a renter or housing application
• Assess creditworthiness or insurance eligibility
• Determine access to a license, permit, or government benefit
• Carry out any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

A regulated check must come from an authorized official channel or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing published here is legal advice. General explanations about Gray County records cannot determine how a charge, warrant, judgment, expunction, or nondisclosure law applies to one person. Consult a licensed Texas attorney for legal advice.

6. No Warranties

All material is supplied “as is.” No warranty is made that:

• Any page or linked result is complete, accurate, or current
• The site will always remain available without delay
• The service contains no defect, error, or security risk
• A partner search will find every relevant record or the correct person

Charges, dockets, custody, registry facts, and record-access rules can change. An official statement or certified record must come from the public office that maintains it.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend and hold the site harmless from claims, demands, costs, and legal actions arising from that visitor’s use of the service or breach of these terms, including reasonable legal expenses.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, governs access to public information held by Texas governmental bodies, and Government Code Chapter 411 controls important criminal-history dissemination rules. Disputes concerning use of this private site must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. A new version becomes effective when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected text will be limited only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
