Why We Built This Site
Texas makes many records available, but it does not store every part of a criminal matter in one place. Gray County Sheriff records describe its incidents and county-jail bookings. The District Clerk keeps felony cases from the 31st and 223rd District Courts, while the County Clerk and lower courts keep other dockets. Texas DPS maintains statewide criminal history and the public registry. TDCJ handles state custody. This site brings verified agency contacts, official search links, known fees, and request steps into one reference while keeping those record types distinct.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, with no connection to a Texas court, police department, sheriff, clerk, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:
- It cannot retrieve a record or conduct an official background check
- It cannot submit public-information requests, expunction petitions, or other filings
- It cannot issue certified court documents, criminal histories, or booking records
- It cannot give legal advice about a charge, warrant, case, or possible remedy
- It cannot promise that every published office detail remains current after government changes
An official copy must come from the office that maintains it, such as the Gray County clerk, sheriff, or Texas Department of Public Safety. This resource only helps identify that office.
Search Partners
Search boxes shown on some pages are operated by outside providers. Those companies control their own services, charges, data handling, and results. A paid signup reached through a partner tool may generate a referral fee that supports this free reference resource. Gray County Criminal History does not set partner prices or control the records they return.
